Default Weightlifting help - I can't bend my arms!

I did an exercise class on Sunday morning where you do a lot of light reps of bicep curls/shoulder press/triceps etc. It was called BodyPump or something.

I was OK at the time but now my arms hurt at the biceps just above the elbows.

When will it start to repair? I want to do tomorrow's boxercise class.

I'm getting addicted to this stuff now as there's loads of blart.

Your first few weeks will hurt, no two ways about it. Eat properly, get enough sleep and train through the pain.

If you're building muscle, give them at least 48 hours before training again, other than that train through the pain, they'll soon loosen up.

Some things you can take to help with the pains, a protein shake with simple carbs and some creatine after training helps me.

rest. plenty of water and protein. Potassium can also help with DOMS, banana's are a good source of this.

OK thanks a lot, I'm really enjoying the classes as I get bored after 20 mins in the gym.

I can't believe I didn't think of doing this years ago! Beats running as a hobby.

Doms mate..Delayed onset of muscular stiffness.

Cool down properly after exercise, stretches important and a sauna would help.

Depending on how hard you worked it would have come on Monday AM and still more Tuesday AM, your muscles should be recovering since this morning.

    Unless yer a puff!

Hurt Monday a.m. but more the top of thighs from the squats.

Last night the arms hurt and I looked like a professional carpet carrier.
