Default FAO anyone who may scan this board on Bent's behalf

Cos like looking through your fingers at a car crash, they can't resist...

My 8 year old lad came downstairs this evening with a folded up piece of paper.

'Can you throw this away Dad I don't want it on my wall anymore'.

    'What is it?'

    'My Darren Bent poster'.

There in essence, is what SAFC supporters think of you now. And if an 8 year old oblivious to the ways of the big bad world can think it, just think what goes through the rest of our heads.

This is my last word on the subject.

Basta! As my Italian aunty would say.

My 11 year old was at his first Derby on Sunday. We drove down from Perth.
Ive lived up here 15 years or so, St Johnstone season ticket holder and so is my lad. We go to as many games as we can at the SOL, normally 5 or 6 a season.

St Johnsone should be his team first and foremost, but hes red and white through and through. Hes always wearing one of his SAFC shirts and talks non stop about them. Loved Bent.

He was gutted when he heard he was going.

This morning he got up to go to school and his first words were roughly "Ive been thinking about it, I want Villa to go down, finish bottom, and Bent never to score again".

Good and bad that. Bad that an 11 year old can feel that kind of emotion to someone hes never met, Good that now he knows what its like to support the lads.

You cant buy class Benty, you should have a look at Super Kev...

Phillips wanted to leave sunderland by all reports, stayed for another two seasons and wasnt the same player.

Of course he was a pivotol player in the two most succesful seasons ive ever witnessed.

My 12 year old spent all afternoon cutting pictures of Bent out of his posters and put them on his new dartboard (not a real one, a plastic one.A bit like Bent really)

Not true. His transfer requests came in his last season, he'd carried us on his own the season previous and probably showed some of his best form.
