Default Can anyone say why a fan would rather not support the club yet?

    eh?

if they don't want to go then thats fine, do pubs get more punters in due to the football on telly?

Would pubs go to all that trouble if it didn't bring people in?

Your first question doesn't make much sense???

But aye the pubs get a lot more in when the football is on. Whether they would go to the stadium if it wasn't shown has been debated enough really.

why would a fan choose to go to the pub when it is within their means to watch at the stadium, generally ,not just us?

Is it only Sunderland supporters' that watch matches in the pub? I dont hear of any other clubs bang on so much about this supposed "problem".

Sorry Lewberry, I dont understand your question. but I thought the above might be relevant.

probably because in most parts of the stadium you are looked down upon should you even attempt to vocally support the side.

you answered your own question though.

Why don't fans attend? If they don't want to then that's fine. < doesn't make any sense.

Who knows. I've lapsed and don't go any more but I've generally just listened on the radio while working on me house. I've watched two in the pubs and mags match aside (which gets everyone out) the majority of people there came in at 3 and left at final whistle. Most were old lads who I don't think would have went. The younger ones stuck around longer and maybe they would go under 'other' circumstances. But if they've got £30 to spend they can have a day out with mates or spend nearly all of it for 90 minutes.

i would just like a proper non knee-jerking reason why someone who can go, but doesn't go to games.

Fans by definition do. Those in pubs are not fans, barely supporters and mainly followers.
