I've just checked my e-mails and have 3 from them (in my spam) stating that i am due a tax refund of £980. Has anyone received out like this recently? It's got a link which i'm supposed to click on (which says it will record my IP address for security reasons) to fill in a form. Is this bollocks? I'm guessing it is but it looks official(ish).

Had a few of them mate, delete, dodgy as fuck.

It's bollocks, don't open it. Hmrc would write to you if you were due a refund.

HMRC will never send notifications of a tax rebate by email, or ask you to disclose personal or payment information by email.

I think if you check the return email address on google it brings up a load of scam listings

Don't click the link it's a phishing carry-on for your bank details

I had one a few weeks ago and I forwarded it to the HMRC who replied that the only way they contact you is by post
