    Default Anyone live in Whitburn?

Seems to be quite cheap compared to Seaburn/Roker. Near the sea, nice walks and near to beaches & from what I remember it's a nice little village, handy for Sunderland and Shields, and near some other nice places (Cleadon etc)...

    So what's the catch?

    Any decent pubs & restaurants?

According to a friend of mine, who lives there, a lot of interbreeding went on in the past.

    There's the catch.

There is the Jolly Sailor, The Grey Horse and The Club. I've never had any bother in them but when I lived there (albeit briefly) there was sometimes trouble on a night.

There's a chippy which closes early, and a decorative cake shop apart from that I don't think there's much else.

The good news is that you are only a ten minute walk from the scraneries of Seaburn and a taxi ride from the pubs of Roker / Fulwell etc

Apart from that I found it a pleasant place to live.
