Really wished I went to this game at least once when they were in the same league as us. Any one got any good memories from any boro away games, or any highlights of both old and recent games?

Absolute shit-tip mate. If you like grown men cracking women and children leaving the ground then it's the place for you. Some of the radgiest, horriblest set of "supporters" you'll ever come across. I am a bit of a soft shite mind.

It's shit, it's the one ground / game I'd never go back to under almost any circumstances.

Ayresome Park and the Riverside are 2 of the worst grounds you could ever wish to visit, makes trips to sid james seem like a sunday afternoon at church.

Went a few years ago to Ayresome Park... couldn't get ticket for our end so went in with their fans..... If my memory is any good we went one up then two up, i think it was Craig Russell scoring both... I had to wander off to the toilet each time so i didn't get a hiding for celebrating! Remember a Boro fan talking to me saying how much he hated Sunderland.... I nodded in agreement then walked away with a huge grin. Good days.

A trip to the riverside was nothing compared to a trip to ayresome park

Had some class trips down there but saw us take some beatings on the pitch.

The Jamie Lawrence game where we wore the famous yellow strips and they played jailhouse rock when he came on as sub.

Also there when Peter Beagrie scored for us but we lost 2-1 with Slaven scoring in the first minute.

One of the best ever was Gary Hamiltons testimonial where we won 2-1 and everyone was on the pitch fighting, what a mad day that was!
