Like said earlier if you have a decent amount of data on your phone allowance then you can connect to the internet through your phones 3G.

The 7" tablet is for slimness and convenience, hopefully going travelling (backpack style) so for the odd bus journey, this small tablet looks good. But I don't want to buy something that has no use, and as I have never used a smart phone or used apps before I'm just trying to learn what a tablet can be used for. ( Don't have a data allowance on my phone - I only use it for the odd phone call and texting.) Don't want to be saddled with anykind of bill abroad, so would just use internet cafés etc
