Laptop help needed

Last Time I shut down I had the install updates option so I left the thing to turn itself off however it won't load up now. I can get to the diognostics screen but that's it

When its booting try pressing the F8 button, it should give you a boot options screen, select safe mode and press enter, then cross your fingers. If it loads (may take a while) just shutdown and restart normally.
If it still doesnt work but goes into safe mode try a system restore, go back to before the update.

Tell you the truth I'm not sure it was a shield on the turn off button I was rushing out to work so let it do its thing my laptop is old like I'm gonna smash it and claim on me insurance in a minute

I've paid for pc world insurance for ages tried a can of coke on it...they fixed it then hot coffee....they fixed it....nee wonder its not working

You need to press the F12 key when you turn it on.
