Urgent Techy help required

Having a bad weekend here.
The bairn has been on computer and we have ended up with my windows 7 showinhg not a genuine copy..Help...

My brothers pc has dropped a file and wont boot up..Ive re installed a genuine XP version he got free from work but it has no Key?
It was apparently sent to him via e mail that he cant now access Help x2

If your windows 7 IS a genuine copy then contact microsoft.

The windows 7 problem, go to control panel>system, you'll see an option at the bottom to reactivate windows.

The windows xp issue, you can't get key from the cd due to encryption, if you manage to install it but it's now saying it's not genuine there's way to remove the popups but you'll have to google it. If it's not booting it could be a problem with the boot record. If you load the xp cd on startup you can repair ye boot record, it'll loaf what's called the recovery console and if you type fixmbr it'll fix it hopefully.
