Be great if we had a left sider in but there are plenty of teams worse of squad wise than us.

However the biggest criticism of Bruce is his ability to get the best out of his squad and there can be no excuses. We have more depth and more strength physically than last year. We should be able to cope with injuries better and with Bendtner, Brown, Oshea, Larsson etc defend and attack set pieces far better.

I quite agree with this analysis. And it is not only making the most of the squad, but maintaining that level consistently during the season with no long barren spells.

Reading the threads at the weekend some of you should have been on suicide-watch.The level of negativity was ridiculous.

Here we are on Wednesday night - you've signed Bendtner on loan (good signing btw) and lost Ferdinand and suddenly all of the problems have seemingly disappeared. The positivity has returned and Bruce has been given a bit of a reprieve. Nothing wrong with that but the difference is just a bit bizarre in only 3 days.

Don't think anybody on this thread have done the U-turn you're suggesting. Try harder because not everybody was jumping ship and many retained the view Bruce should be given more time.
