Don't you just love it when one of your favourite films comes on the telly unexpectedly.

Some of it was filmed on our street where I lived as a kid.....the blind bloke going to the bookies lived next to us.......so me mam told me.

great film, one of my favourites too. i have a particular affection for the shots in the gateshead multi storey. when i was doing my a-levels i worked part time in the tesco below.

i spent many a happy hour "collecting trolleys" from the car park - skiving on the top floor while watching the floor manager hunting for me down below

Weird this, just finished watching Harry Brown, didnt know the storyline, Get Carter 40 years on! Harry Brown and Gran Torino, 2 old guys sorting out the scum of today, 2 fine performances by Eastwood & Caine surprised they didnt get nominated for the Oscars.
