    Default good day out for me lass and bairn ideas

    Supposed to be nice on saturday and we are skint so we are going to have a day out with the baby shes 7 mnths old, was thinking like a picnic or something can only think of high force really and raby castle has anyone got any recomendations?

    Hamsterley forest?

    I seen some pictures of some of the northumberland coast the other day, some were stunning. Thinking about headed for a.look up there myself.

    Have a ride up to Low Newton-On-Sea in Northumberland (just north of Craster).

    Fabulous beach which stretches for miles and a canny real ale pub there - The Ship Inn - which has its own micro brewery.



    You can get there in about an hour and 20 mins from Sunderland.

    take a picnic, bat and ball and of to Hardwick Hall nr Sedgefield.

    costs nothing and a nice family day out.

    If its a nice day, the cafe is a nightmare as its very busy

    go down to Saltburn... park at the top walk down the hill and then go back through the valley and the gardens..
