Cleared up last thing here, but too late to get anywhere

    Might go chasing trains tomorrow
Would have liked to have seen the trains this weekend. We had a caravan at Snainton (just past Pickering) for a couple of seasons but only got a few photos from Pickering and Goathland stations. The last time we went to Goathland a trainspotter told me that there was some cracking photographic locations along the line, but I never got the opportunity to have a look out.

Weather permitting, might get out in the Teesdale area over the next couple of days. Might have a look up at sunrise or sunset as I will only be 15-20 minutes away. My luck it will be crap weather.

Might check out Kirkcarrion and may sea if I can get down to High Force this time.

That's meant to say see if I can get down to High Force

No good for your big stopper then? I meant to ask, seen as though I'm not likely to get a big stopper any time soon, any ideas of decent alternative ND filters?

    Use 2x Lee 0.9 ND

Gives you 6 stops as opposed to 10 stops

If you lens would allow you could even go to 3x

I should imagine these will be in stock, or at least more chance of them being in stock...

I also have a Hitech pro 10 stop filter but find it gives a slight blue cast to the overall image.

Standing up Kirkcarrion as we speak waiting for some after glow. Never realised how steep this fucking hill was until I got halfway up. Feel like my head is going to explode. Looking west it looks like there may me a nice sunset on the coast. Hope my car is still there when I walk back down.
