    That's what the Sunderland Fan, Pete Sixsmith, in the Observer awards our manager this season.

    And I for one agree with him. Bent followed by Gordon are his picks for player of the season. Again, I agree with this. The future looks very rosy and the mediocre/crap players will have all been moved on by Bruce by the time the new season kicks off, with much better players brought in to replace them. Great effort.

    Bruce is building on the work that Keane started and, with the exception of Richardson, Meyler, Gordon and Jones, is improving the quality of the players he inherited by buying in new and getting rid of the old. So far, so very good.

    Bruce gave himself a 6 but I think he's being a tad too hard on he's bit sel.

    7/7.5 for me.
