    Default SAFC Foundation

Had my grandson on trials there on Tuesday and Wednesday.

He did good and won the Most improved player and I believe he might just get into the academy under 13's.

If not he will gan back to Whitby and tell all his pals how he thoroughly enjoyed himself and that the experience will stand him in good stead for the future.

He has been on regular coaching courses through his school holidays since he was 5 years old. He told me that SAFC was by far the best course he has been on.

I must admit that I was very pleased with the whole set up and its a massive well done to SNQ and his staff for all the hard work that gans into all this.

Have many board members had kids at these trials and what are your thoughts???

Would be interesting to read from other board members who have younguns in the academy.

I just noticed that Carlton Fairweather (ex Wimbledon) looks after the under 13's.
So if he gets selected he will certainly learn about the effect of good team spirit

I believe Bob Murray is a big supporter of the Foundation and has put his hand in his pocket on a few occasions when the moneys needing topped up.

Good to see its going well and good luck to your grandson marra. Can he even sign for Sunderland in the future is Whitby within 50 miles of Sunderland?
