Parking Eye Sunderland hospital
I received a letter a couple of months ago saying I'd parked in Sunderland hospitals and they wanted to charge me £40 quid for staying longer than I should.
I ignored the letters, but I've just got one from a debt recovery/bailiffs agency saying that they've been instructed to get the dosh. Has anyone else had these letters and stuff, and should I just ignore them?

Chuck it in the bin.
The only way they can send out the bailiffs is if they take you to court and win (won't happen).

If it isnt a Police or Council ticket ignore it, you will get more even more intimidating ones but again ignore them. They work on a 50/50 fear strategy, some will pay some wont but a hell of a lot do.

We got one last month.
I wasn't driving the car, but as the owner the letter came to me. Legally, I am under no obligation at all to tell them who was driving the car, and their so called 'contract' is with the driver of the car, not the owner. So I'm alright.

^^^This^^^. We had 3 last year from different companies - sent them all a standard letter that I got off MoneySavingExpert explaining that I was not the driver at the time and was under no obligation to tell them who was. Havent heard from them since

Cheating the hospital out of some badly needed income, I hope you're all very proud.
