    Default Who was...?

Who was the last player we had who could go past a player at speed and deliver a good cross like Ahmed Elmohammady did today? Allan Johnston?, Nicky Summerbee?

I like the look of him like. I like the way he constantly gets up and down the line, but not only that, he stays there giving us genuine width. He was always available as an outlet for the rest of the team, and his pace really stretched them.

I also like the way he gets his crosses in in a similar vein to Summerbee whereby he doen't even seem to need to beat his man, he just crosses it. Whilst his crosses might not have the accuracy of David Beckham they're still causing defences problems.

Jordan Henderson: several times created scoring chances/goals last season with deep crosses.

once he learns to occasionally put one into the near post, or hard and low along the bottom he'll be even better

Would love someone with a cross as good as him back though.

I'm chuffed with Elmo though, full of running and really influenced the game in the 2nd half on Sunday.

Aye, he never beat a man because he never had to, why bother with all that running when you can drop the ball exactly where you want to without.
