Steve Bruce will probably (hopefully) keep us up this season but he is not the top manager that we crave (honest ). He has been in management almost 13 years now yet he has lost as many games as he has won. Considering that an awful lot of his games have been at a lower level then this is not a great record at all. Martin O'Neill has won 74 more than he has lost and this figure excludes his time at Celtic. If he is available we should go all out to get him in the summer.

He already knocked us back once as we were in the Championship, so unlikely I'm afraid.
    I don't think we will go down really......think !

All the pressure on Quinn and the rest of the club maybe coming from Ellis

Most of the team are his players, been here nearly 2 years but the worrying thing is we dont seem to have the passion or steel from the players , when the going gets tough we havent got one Charlie Adam type player wholl roll their sleeves up & give it some on the pitch & toward the players .

the thing is we can have Brucey who is fantastic in the transfer market and keeps us steady in mid table or we could go with O'Neil who'd have a field day with this current squad and see us show real progression but could spunk millions on players like Curtis Davies and Reo-Coker. Considering our current financial situation I believe Short and Quinn would rather stick with Bruce and his decent transfer record.

correct, there's no way on earth o'neil wouldn't get away with spending £9m on curtis davies. People moan at gordon because he cost money and is a good goalkeeper. Davies is shite and if we paid £9m, the fans wouldn't even give him a chance.
