    Default O'Neill Doubters

    Where are you now?

How can anyone disrespect the man, or his record, in International, English and Scottish football - and I mean as a player and a manager.

    Onwards and upwards.

Did we give Bruce enough time? (tongue very much in cheek).

My only doubts were over what style of football he will have us playing.

I wanted Mark Hughes rather than O'Neill, anything wrong with that?
Can't disagree with amount of positivity he has brought to the place.

    That's all.

    I won't.

I was happy (of course) with the O'Neill appointment but would have preferred Sparky as I thought he was a safer pair of hands. I'm over the moon at the way things have started out for Martin but one can only speak how they feel at the time.

I love it when the smb gets all 'told you so'.

Why do people insist on building walls between each other? Some people may have preferred Hughes etc, but we have O'Neill now. He's doing well. We're all happy. I doubt anyone now believes that he is the wrong man for teh job.

Some people were creating threads - just two or three weeks ago - saying Catts will never make a pro footballer; that Sess needs to be sold as he does nowt; that O'Shea was a disgrace etc etc.

Surely these should be the focus of any criticism, not people that may have had a preference over O'Neill.

For the record, I was happy to have either MON or Hughes, possibly favouring Hughes due to his younger age. I am ecstatic about how it is now going though.

It's not about people saying 'told you so' more to do with the fact that some posters were actually knocking his managerial record and claiming he'd never be a success here without money which is just total rubbish. The bloke is a top class motivator and money or not he will comfortably improve on Bruce's best finish of 10th place.
