    Default Favourite SAFC partnership.

The defensive bedrock of Ord and Melville? Intricate midfield play of Owers and Ferguson? Brilliant wing play of Clarke and Hysen? or the managerial genius of Reid and Sacko?

Which Sunderland partnership is your favourite?

Bould and Butler showed an understanding that was almost telepathic at times. Indeed with Bould in the side, our form that season was almost title winning standard, whereas without him we showed form that was distinctly midtable or worse. The way he organised our defense was integral to our seventh place finish and Bould had them playing together as a unit in a way that Alan Stubbs utterly failed to do.

Butler himself was also an important cog in the machine. For a fat lad, who was ultimately pretty shit, he formed decent partnerships withj Melville, Craddock, Bould and Thome in his time here. He was also completely useless on the deck reminiscent of a much wors michael turner in his complete inability to trap a bag of sand or pass the ball along the ground.

Bramble and Turner have the potential to be equally good together and maye we can improve even on our brilliant season so far this term...
