Default Bruce is a hell of a grafter….

I’m sure it’s not appreciated by the pubeless masses on here, but the amount of work Bruce and his team put into our transfer dealings shouldn’t be underestimated. I remember a story about when Bruce signed Zaki for Wigan, he flew out to Egypt personally, hired a car and drove some ridiculous distance through the desert in order to seal the deal. Contrast this with our previous manager who had a big fat chequebook and a scouting network of Ireland, Manchester and er…

To date we’ve brought in Riveros, Bramble, Al-Muhmammadi, Angeleri and Mignolet for less than the cost of the liabilities that were Cana and Murphy. This keeps our powder dry for latter stages of the transfer window when the best deals are to be had.

I’m grateful we’ve got a manager who treats the clubs money as if it were his own, we don’t have to look very far to see what happens when a club gives in to its fans cravings for marquee signings.

Brilliant work to date Steve lad – keep up the hard work.

They prefer their manager to be a glib mysterious gobshite who works 2 days a week and waves a chequebook and very little else, and when the going gets tough, ie being asked to be accountable fucks off quick sharp.
