Default Watched "Crash" last night (Sandra Bullock etc)

What a feckin' awesome film, no wonder it's an Oscar winner.

Strong performances all round, especially from Thandie Newton - who is well-known for highlighting race & colour issues.

Even our lass said that anyone with an attitude to race or colour should be forced to watch it.

Although it took a little while to get going, it all made for a great story in the end - with some subtle twists in towards the climax. There was even some redemption thrown in, for good measure. A great moral tale.

I won't give away any more, but I would thoroughly recommend this film.

It was liked being hit over the heard with a brickbat marked 'RACE IS A COMPLEX ISSUE'.

    Wasn't keen.

Agree. Just another archetypal heavy handed Hollywood 'message movie'. Hand wringingly portentous shite.

    "interesting" response.

can u suggest a movie with similar issues that doesn't hit you with same brickbat - or were just trying to be a bit too much like Barry Norman?

maybe this MeDULLa fella is trying to say race ISN'Ta complex issue?

Maybe that or he's trying patronise SMB folk into thinking he's some sort of pseudo-intellect that has opinions that are worthy of distinct merit and anyone who disagrees should be lampooned for positively contributing to an open internet forum?

No, I was simply putting forward my opinion on a film that you offered up for discussion, on a board set up for that purpose.

    Remarkable stuff.
