Default Opening game of next season

    A 4-5-1 or 4-3-3 with a couple of signings.

    Gordon

    Bardo Mensah Titus Warnock

    Henderson Meyler Catts
    Sess N'zogbia

    Gyan

Subs Rico, Colback, Minolet, Elmo, Turner, Bolo, new striker.

Im surprised how many people in these threads forget about Malbranque when we are a much more balanced side with him in the team. He would certainly offer something more to that formation than David Meyler IMO.

4-4-2 with Gyan + another decent striker.

be happy if Hendo has not joined Manure.

Not really. That then leaves us playing Henderson in a deeper midfield role, which as we all know by know he's absolutely gash at.

The formation in the OP really should be a 4-2-3-1. That gives us the option to essentially give the three behind Gyan a lot more freedom and be more adventurous in their movement.

4-3-3 / 4-5-1 seems to be in fashion at the moment. Plus two good strikers are hard to find and we're shite in midfield. Unless we can temp Welly back like.
