Went in May, years ago, we had a great time, bars were canny packed, we didn't really care about the clubs though as we just wanted to get drunk not dance about etc.

If you just want a lads holiday and don't care about the "super" clubs then go for it. If you want to go to those clubs you're wasting your time.

Used to live out there. Can be pretty quiet and the weather isn't fantastic but, as Andrew P says, if you're just wanting to go to have a drink, a laugh and a bit of crack, (so to speak), then it's a decent enough break with just about enough people about to make it enjoyable.

Opening parties are always sh*t anyway, incidentally. 30% 'real' clubbers and 70% gawpers and knob heads on freebies who are there to see what it's all about. The atmosphere at opening parties is always very forced.
