    Come the budget in December VAT will be increased by 2%.

    Cross-border shopping will increase again then... The government are seriously deluded if they think the people of Ireland will just take it !!

    Also the amount of cash trading will increase.

    lopping the child benefit by a tenner and all.... how else am I supposed to buy my gin and fags quota FFS

    that's 30 euro it's been cut by since I moved here in 2007....

    unless the whole population takes to the streets of the capital in mass civil disobedience.... never happen (especially in the West... unless hurling was outlawed as well by the current government..... )

    they don't give a ferk about small businesses any more, sadly -all getting screwed over - pubs, farms.... such a shame as Ireland has so much to offer but it's all been fucked up by EU legislation - don't get me wrong, we've benefitted from EU money but the small print has us tied in knots.... dunno how it's gonna end but I can't afford to leave - the alternative would only be moving back to the UK which I really don't want...

    sit tight - gonna be a bumpy ride...
