    Default Interview no no?

Apparantly you can't ask a person about their state of health in an interview any longer (new discrimination act that became law today? apparantly).

So you want to employ a chauffeur?
So you want to employ someone to look after your child? etc

If you can't ask about their health you risk getting an epileptic/fitting driver and a manic depressive nursery nurse.

Conversely, I guess, you can't use your good health as a selling point.

    Good law!

so what about forms that ask the questions or ask for permission to access doctors records or how many days off you have had in last year. Are they still allowed?

    I would guess not.

Seems like a charter to go sick, get sacked, and when you go for a new job they can't ask you about your sickness and health.

I'm trying to find further detail on the internet. Because when I interview someone I really want to know they are fit to do the job.

That is not the point I was making. It, apparantly, is going to be against the law to ask people about their health at an interview.

I won't be able to use their health (good or bad) in any way as a criterion in choosing a future employee.

Yes but some jobs require access to your medical records (you can't get a job with our London Borough without giving access to your medical records). Is this going to be stopped?
