Sorry mate if it's a genuine question, I just had visions of you hoying then up yer hoop and wondering how long they would survive with no water and food.

If I have it wrong I apologise, for what its worth I reckon if you get one of them big water botlles x2 and hoy loads of food in they will be fine.

Probably not a good idea, they need lots of exercise (out of the cage) and shouldn't be left alone for an extended peiod (weekend is about the longest).

We replace hamster food daily, cleaning the cage every week and refreshing the water bottle daily too. They need letting out of their cage and handling too, for them to be tame. They should always have a wheel in their cage. I had russian dwarf hamsters once, which weren't tamed and they bit a lot.

Guinea pigs are different again, they need more space and handling/socialisation, a mixture of their prepared and fresh food daily - they like veg like carrots.

The water bottles for both are good but you need to keep refreshing them as germs can lurk.

Either way, you will need someone to look after them while you are away.

Years ago i had a suicidle hamster who ultimately did kill himself. To this day i often think if i could have done more but it's not easy to distinguish a suicidle hamster from another.
