    I am wanting to move back to Sunderland but the Wife (no) is having none of it in someways i see her point but i am home sick to fuck for some reason but would never just get up and leave the bairn ....Am i fucked and stuck in Manchester ? haha :shock

    Try and compromise with her mate. Had a similar situation few years back. You both have to one to an agreement otherwise one will end up resenting the other for making then stay/move. Maybe suggest somewhere in between. Leeds?

    I have told her i cant see me been here for rest of my life so hopefully she will see my point of view in few years time and we will move

    Dont know why i am even missing living in Sunderland because apart from my Mam there is nothing there for me apart from SAFC but last few weeks i have missed it like mad

    Don't do it, it's shit up here and there isn't a day goes by I don't regret coming back. What it was is completely gone and unless you are a well qualified and experienced professional there is absolutely nothing good here other than moderately cheaper housing.

    P.S. I'd suggest you miss feeling part of a community, maybe it isn't Sunderland that you miss(for what it is now) but the past (or what you romanticise it as being).

    why uproot and make her miserable? you have said yourself that you only miss your mam and safc. your mam will always be there for you and you can follow safc anywhere in the world.
    re-evaluate in 12 months time.
