Djibril Cisse is doing well for Panathanaikos over in Greece at the mo and my Greek pal out there says their papers are linking him to Aston Villa.
Houllier is an old friend of his and is supposedly going to tempt him back to English football.

Hope he does well whatever he does, had a big hand in keeping us up and I still think we done right by not signing him, for £9m

Would be nice to see him back in the prem like a great character to have in the league.

But as has been said we were right to not fork out 9mil.

I thought he had this habit of running into people. When he was on the ball instead of going past the defender, he tended to just refuse to change direction and either run into him or shoot

Good player - better at getting corners than goals though. Did it at Liverpool, did it at sunderland and probably does it a lot at Panathinaikos too.

Runs down the inside right channel, very quickly, goes to shoot or cross, cannons off defenders leg - corner. Five times a game. At least.

Would be good to see him back in England, the day we signed him was class.

On a slightly related note, John Carew will be available in Jan apparently, he's out of contract at the end of the season so would be cheap. I wouldn't mind him coming here as he'd offer us something different than our current strikers.
