January 2011 SMB Photography Challenge - Contre Jour - Discussion thread

As the next few days are going to be a bit hectic, I'm starting this a bit early

The theme for January is Contre Jour.

Don't forget the slight change to the rules: you now have to opt OUT of C&C rather than opting in, so voters will be allowed to comment unless you specifically ask for no C&C

The basic editing information is interesting.

I also thought contre jour was more about not creating a silouette, but obviously I was wrong as this came about 140th or something.

I had never heard of this before, but I'll hopefully get the camera out next month rather than just the phone.
