I've never heard of a player getting married / going on holiday during the mainstream schedule, other than Fergie sending Schmeichel off in the middle of the season once when he started to drop everything.
He should be training with a club at minimum, and if he wants to have the best chance of success he should now be training with and bedding into his new club. Raises a massive question mark over his motivation imo, and also means he's unlikely to be fully fit for the start of the season. After all if these next 2/3/4 weeks while he's away / considering his options don't matter, then why is every club back in training and playing warmup games? |

Was hoping to be in the world cup squad so organised it for immediately after. Not a problem as far as I can see, but the usual suspects are getting their knickers in a twist about it.
