    Default Malbranque and Reid

Never known such a transformation in 2 Sunderland players in my whole life. Absolutely brilliant yesterday again. Andy Reid completley ran the whole game while Malbranque ran riot down the left time and time again. They both seem fitter, hungrier and more determined than ever before.

I know Reid got himself fit in the summer but Bruce has to take alot of credit for their increase in performance levels. Absolute joy to watch at times. Long may it continue. .

Agreed. Absolute plasure that we have 2 players that have so much talent and confidence that they'll, on occasions, take the piss. With Cana and Cattermole providing the aggression and Henderson and Rico providing good cover, we really do have good options in midfield.

We've also got that in central defence (Ferdinand, Turner, DaSilva, Mensah and Noz).

I think he needs to look at left-back, a good winger (either-side - just to give us width and options) and a centre forward who can genuinely put pressure on Jones and Bent.

Figueroa, Johnson and Cole would do me nicely.

They're my 2 favourite players at the moment. I'm worried that some of the bigger clubsmight come in for some of our players in January.

Malbranque has only played well since the Man Utd game (3rd October) IMO, but dont get me wrong he has been great since then. However Andy Reid has been different class since the carling cup game against Norwich in August.

Both ex-Spurs, both with an axe to grind. Bruce should be reminding them he wants that every week, not just when they fancy it. It shows what good players they can be. It's the consistency, mostly in Malbranques case tbf, which lets our players down.

If Reid keeps getting fitter and fitter he could be a top top player!

    like who?
arsenal, chelsea and manure, spurs dont need either.
liverpool are broke until they sell someone or they get taken over
we have more money than everton ( who are almost potless ) and are on a par with villa ( money wise )
those days of us being a selling club are over unless its for silly money imo

Totaly agree des, we are at a turning point this season and are a damn sight better off than most clubs, we have no need to sell and theres only a small handful of clubs I would consider bigger than us anyway - we are evolving and watch the next transfer window I predict we will continue to strengthen and grow
