Steve Bruce is very happy with Craig Gordon and he is firmly his number 1! I doubt Bruce would pay £6m for somebody who will be a reserve.

Robert Greens class !! Im a big fan of Gordon and think we have more important positions to strengthen but if we could sign Green for 6 mil (which we wont, be nearer 8) it would be fantastic business. Maybe get 2 mil for Fulop too. 2 keepers on our books the quality of Green and Gordon would be brilliant. . .

Gordon will keep getting better and better, Fulop is OK as a reserve. It would be a waste of money to get Green and then have either him or Gordon being pissed-off sat on the bench.

People obviously been smoking last night.

Green is twice the keeper that Gordon is and I'd be over the moon for us to cash in on CG and buy Green.

Lets hope its true because we need a goalkeeper that inspires confidence in the defence not one who is caught like a rabbit in the PL headlights.

Cant see us having Scotlands No1 keeper and maybe Englands No1 keeper wanting to keep the bench warm week in week out.

What a load of tosh. I expect the article is tripe but Green is in a bracket of goalkeeper with Gordon below the very best but in amongst the best of the rest.

Green had a good game at Sunderland a week ago and had a horror show a week earlier being responsible for both Arsenal goals and he has had quite a poor season. Certainly in the least month Gordon has completely outperformed Green with excellent handling and points winning saves against Liverpool and West Ham.

That is utter nonsense, Green drops regular howlers and is an average goalkeeper who is there for the taking if any of the top clubs wanted him, and there is hardly a rush.

No he isn't. He is a decent prem league keeper but no more than that. He has let in some howlers over the last couple of seasons, isn't renowned for coming off his line (of which is the main criticism of Gordon), is older than Gordon and would cost more in wages.

If he is as good as you reckon why is he playing for West Ham, when over recent years the likes of Man U, Arsenal, Man City, spurs and Villa have all strengthened or looking to strenghten in the goal keeping area but have never went for Green?
