It came from behind another villa player, took a richochet and then hit his hand. The one at the end was much clearer in my view.

Still, all history now. We lost, end of.

Even if the penalty had been awarded and say they missed it we would have lost 3 defenders in one go (Chimbonda, Nosworthy and Collins), been down to 10 men against 11 (Young hadn't been sent off at this point and that challenge would never had happened if the above had) and had Whitehead, McShane, Ferdinand and Bardsley playing a the back. Doesn't look very promising does it?

We would of had 3 subs at that point to use as well.

    Fulop
    Whitehead McShane Ferdinand Bardsley
    Cisse Reid Tainio Edwards
    Jones

We wouldn't of been chasing the game as much, maybe the long ball wouldn't of happened, but if we sat back Villa wouldn't of broke us down - they've proven many times this season that apart from counter attack they struggle against teams.

Plenty of ifs and buts in a situation like that, however a handball goal is against the rules and should of been disallowed. Linesman at fault IMO.

It was kicked from about 30 yards away man FFS - he must have motor neuron disease if he can't get his hand out of the way of that!!!
