I would like to see Diouf start against Everton at the expense of Reid who I thought was poor against Blackburn. Diouf has not played for a while and would like to think he has a point to prove. Despite what others have said, Chimbonda has impressed me this season and would like to see him restored at right-back.

Both (especially Chimbonda) were extremely poorly 'managed' by Keane and they have yet to be given a chance under Sbragia.

Our squad certainly needs trimming, but it needs trimming of shite not quality.

Both are proven quality premiership performers - a good manager will have them playing at that standard again.

To be fair to both niether have had long runs in the team and by the feel of it keane more or less wrote them off pretty quickly. Maybe they didnt try to break someones leg in trianing on a monday morning.

There've been games where Bardsley has had yards to gallop into but attacking isn't one of his strengths (West Ham being the best example when Boa Morte was brought on to keep him pegged back). In terms of a right back I think Bardsley does what he needs to do and gets shot, Chimbonda was caught fannying on too much, the mags the best example.

I think he and Diuf deserve a chance though

i totally disagree that chimbo is light years ahead of bardsley, they are completely different types of full back. i for one like the option that having the two differing styles gives for certain matches and would be disappointed if chimbo leaves. diouff hasnt done anything yet, but deserves the chance to prove himself surely.

just a pityt that the likes of murphy, leadbitter, edwards are on contracts that probably putting them out of the reach of the clubs they should be at in the ccc, because epl clubs wont be interested, other than perhaps wba or stoke. iirc didnt rk extend leadbitter's and murphy's contracts?
similarly stokes and halford arent exactly setting alight a very very average sheff utd team.
Agree to a point. If we are going to offload players I would much rather offload players like Leadbitter, Whitehead, Halford, Conolly etc.

Disagree with that like, game changed when he came on yesterday, I know it's all about opinions but that lad gets a lot of undeserved criticism. At Man United he ran himself into the ground for the cause

What's with the hyperbole on this place lately? I know it's Christmas and we've all had a few but ffs... worse than the lad who said Cisse was the best player in 45 years at the club "by a country mile". Neither have been here anywhere near long enough, nor put in anywhere like as many top class performances to warrant it.

Alright most of our RBs tend to be defensive in nature but honestly...
