My guess is that the parents pushed her to the car floor in a last ditch attempt to protect her - easily missed by the gunman.
Horrible.

Probably run out of bullets. May have thought a 4 year old could give no useful evidence, true I would think, but less likely than he just ran out of bullets

Report I read said she was by the car
But why was she beaten? Surely there would be no need to beat a kid after you shot them, which is why I would assume the beating happened first then three shots,

I'm sure she could have all sorts of injuries that would look like she'd been beaten. A lot of reporting of this seems a bit hasty and guessworkish
Crucial witness of course, here's hoping she lives

Yes, in some ways you would hope its a lunatic cos the thought of someone doing this because they were paid/ told to is more disturbing

Re: French Shootings
Are the French any good at this type of stuff, baring in mind they let a 4 year old lie for 8 hours in a car
Surely Scotland Yard will go over and help

Agree, hope they catch the killer(s) soon
Hope the kids get all the care they are going to need in the upcoming weeks and indeed the support they will undoubtedly need the rest of their lives

Re: French Shootings
Apparently lots of bullet casings laid around which could suggest an automatic weapon.
Seems a bit extreme for road rage, though stranger things have happened if there's a total nutter involved.
