Your brain processes loads of stuff without you being aware. Sounds of other vehicles etc will be being used to make millions of little decisions every second. To block out that sense and go round roundabouts etc is just daft IMO.
However, since it is unlikely you will be able to pinpoint the lack of information you are receiving as the reason you get knocked off your bike, you keep doing it marra.
Pedestrians using headphones are at higher risk of being in an accident, when stepping into traffic.
Again, as long as they don't blame the driver, I couldn't care less if they lived or died.
