The 28mm will never work for the kind of wide angle shot he is interested in though. That is nearly 50mm on a proper camera.

Well, I managed to get the shot I needed using my trusty 28-80.

Wasn't a great shot, and it was a bit of a squeeze, but then I don't like the old cow anyway, so I wasn't too bothered.

Bit tricky working with 340 kids in the rain, talking through a very narrow window. Ended up giving up on getting the R quite straight. Printed it at 10x15" and it actually looked pretty good - you could even work out what it said.
