    100% agree but they need to bring a new twist or just be a tribute band.

    You need to start with the Velvet Underground and go forward marra.

    Personally, I would go back to The Byrds and The Beach boys and travel forward.

    I've got Beach Boys & Velvet Underground on my Pod, I like em' both but (and you're probably gonna be disgusted with me) both remind me of Frankie and Benny's..

    Will check out The Byrds first impressions are favourable..

    BTW Harry, how were the Durutti Column Received in the 80's?

    Everything shoe gazing and miserablist stems from the Velvet underground IMO.

    Byrds were the jingly jangly guitars.

    Those three bands would be the template for most indie stuff.

    Throw in the Stooges for the raw power and you have most elements needed for a newish guitar band.
