It could be worth looking into IMO, it would make our pitch much nicer and the SOL much warmer for spectators.

Between October and March, that would be pure heaven.

If you wanted a retractable roof, you'd have to replace the roofs on at least three of the stands to accomodate the sliding mechanism. The cost could cover a half-decent left back and I know which I'd rather have.
