Nobody posting on here is talking about losing someone they have never met or have seen on TV. They are talking about experiencing losing a much loved member of the family. OK, it`s not a child but losing a dog can be a very painful thing to go through and reading these replies many people know what it feels like.

There`s nothing wrong taking annual leave. That`s what it`s for, taking time off work for holidays, doing jobs, relaxing and also dealing with family matters. Losing a loved dog is a very stressful time and work can be the last thing on people`s minds so taking a few days off is totally understandable.

Just read back up on this thread and the updated replies.

    Still chokes me up.

People who have never experienced the love of a dog will never understand the bond and companionship you get from them. They become part of the family.
