Outrageous. His value is 8m. They'd be insane to turn down 10m.

My guess is someone gets him for around £10m.
Best deal would be to pay £7-8 million up front with maybe some kind of add-ons if he was to get 15-20 goals he maybe worth more than £10 million....

They wouldn't though. We're talking about a player that could be the difference of league survival or not. I wouldn't be surprised if they are thinking he's as good as they will get.

That would be a good deal for us. Not sure Wolves would see it as such a great deal for them, though.

I really think people need to drop their preconceptions and obsessions with 'value'. This is just what the market is like these days. It is tough to grab a bargain, particularly so if you have backed yourselves into a corner like we have with regard the striker situation.

The salient point is that a £10m deal (which is what it will be I think) can be adsorbed into the books pretty easily now. We have reached that level. Therefore, it should frighten no one. It is all about trusting the manager, I suppose.

£12m plus £60,000 a week on a 4 year deal is what they paid for him. Huge money.

Maybe this is why NUFC got Cisse so cheap. Ba was already on 15ish goals for the season, so Freiburg knew they weren't desperate.

The mags could take a risk on Cissé because they had Ba to fall back on. We don't have that safety net. We need someone we know can be effective in this division and can settle here comfortably. Sadly, they come at a bit of a premium.
