Hmmm, Dortmund & Mönchengladbach are at home in December when I'm in Dusseldorf. Decisions, decisions.

Probably be BM as I doubt I'd get a ticket for Dortmund.

Any idea what chance we'd have getting tickets?

Alternatively, we're going to have to look at getting to Jahn Regensberg from Munich (which looks a trek) or worse still Aalen from Munich.

Bollocks. I've just found out that this DFL SCUP between Bayern and Dortmund on 12th August is probably at a random ground so there'll probably be no game at the Allianz that weekend. Newly promoted Regensberg or Aalen it probably is then!

    Double Edit.......

    It is at the Allianz!

Any of our German based posters reckon we'll be ok to get tickets? How much do they usually cost for games like this?

I'd say you'll be fine to get tickets but you'll have to make sure to book them early. Usually it has always been sold out, but as you noticed yourself, these matches always took place in a (smaller) random ground and last year it was Schalke-Dortmund...

There will probably be loads of people who usually never get a chance to see these two teams playing each other in a normal league match as many supporters who attend matches regularly can't be bothered with the Super Cup.

It might be a struggle getting tickets for the game at Union Berlin as their stadium only holds about 18k. If you manage to get tickets you'll have a great time at Union, I went there last season and it's in a sort of nature reserve in the Köpenick district of Berlin.

I'm gonna try and go to the game at Hertha Berlin in February as there will be a better chance of getting tickets. It's not as big a deal as other derby games as there's no real rivalry between them from what i gather, but with it being such a big city there will be a lot of interest.

Should know by the end of the week which of the initial games are gonna be on tv and then the dates will be finalised for the first couple of months of the season.
