Stoneman has had 2 less inns than Collingwood in the LVCC this season yet has the same amount of runs and Onions has had 1 less inns and is only 4 runs behind Collingwood.

Collingwood has an average so far of 14.62 from 8 innings which is piss poor. He's a major concern at the moment and the Stoneman/Muchall debate will always rumble as, both as "good" as each other in my opinion. Muchall has a decent record in the Pro 40 but frustrates so many in the LVCC.

Those I'd expect better of are letting the team down, such as Collingwood this season, Harmison and Plunkett have been poor for a good while now.
    A fair post.

My problem with Smith is he is too consistent. Sounds strange but it's all well and good him getting 20/30 every innings as he generally does but he needs 1 in 3 of those to go to 60/70 and 1 in 6 or so to go to a 100. He's technically a very good batsman in the LVCC. He wouldn't have been my first choice if Coetzer had still been here, mind.

I prefer Muchall over Stoneman; but neither are good enough if we want to be challenging for the title year after year. Again, they offer the same as Smith without having the ability (seemingly) to go on and make a massive score. At least Smith has a double hundred in his career.

Agree with that. Just to rub salt into the wounds, Onions just tweeted he's on his way back up to the north east, obviously not selected for England. Could have done with him in the Somerset game, tad annoying how it works but the ECB call with shots with the money but it happens so so regular with Onions. We missed him last season for what was a crucial game away to Notts which we ended up losing by about 50 runs.

That has nothing to do with this matter.

He was selected as part of the squad and not picked to play, therefore he goes back to Durham

I really cant see the problem with this.

Middlesex also missed out on Finn, it's a shame but I cant see a problem with it.

Was looking at the Batsmen we have listed on the Telegraph Fantasy League...just 4.

    Smith
    Stoneman
    Di Venuto
    Muchall

Says it all really, too many bits and pieces players in our squad now IMO and not enough quality in the top order.
