    Default Just taken the plunge....
    And bought me first DSLR. Canon 550d.

    Complete novice like. Any recommendations for a good book or website with tutorials etc. or has anyone done a beginners course at a college etc?

    Looking forward to putting stuff up for smb critical analysis.

    Talk photography is a good site. I found it very helpful when i first started out. looking forward to seeing shots around Sydney. I grew up there.

    Thats what i have.. very happy with it. Full HD video recording too (but you'll need a fast card, class 10)

    There is a festival coming up - www.vividsydney.com. It's a light art festival and has some pretty amazing stuff. I'll hoy my efforts capturing that up as a start.
