Well we play him as a forward (all be it one that sits behind Bendtner) and I think most fans believe him to be a forward....He certainly has absolutely no defensive duties and is always the man left up when we are under pressure.

To be fair if Gardner had only managed 2 shots on target in 10 games as an attacking midfielder this board would be raging
