    Default Grabbing in the box

2nd half when Sandro was all over Bendtner just prior to a corner.

Why not give a foul (which is was) instead of Foy just going and having words with Sandro?

    Annoyed me like.

If the ball's not in play then you can't give a foul.

But if someone punched someone they'd be sent off so you can do illegal offences when the ball's not in play.

the point is that everyone knows that you shouldn't be holding onto players, so why give them a warning. Wait till the corner is taken give the pen, he won't hold again.
    It really is that simple.

It'd be a red card but it wouldn't be a penalty/free kick. Zidane at WC2006 is an example of that.

IMO, if it isn't an offence (which I take it from the replies to this thread it isn't), Foy should have nothing to do with it. Just let it be, let Sandro make the foul in open play and punish him.

    Simple really.

Sandra was the worst example. Had his back to the ball all the time , was clear his only interest was in impeding the man. When it's that blatant and stupid then award a penalty as soon as the ball comes over. To be honest if it was one of our players doing it like that I'd have no objections

    This.

If there's no foul when the ball's not in play, Foy should just have kept his nose out and then given the foul as soon as the ball is kicked.

The Dutch ref did this in Barca v Milan.
