Default Crawling out of the woodwork

Always an odd phrase to me.

It's like we don't want these extra fans. Can people not just accept that people will make choices of which games they go to and want to go to?

Everton could be a very exciting evening, what a shock that more people want to go than is usual

Exactly. You can't win. You're either a "bandwagoner" or someone who watches it in the pub when he could go to the match.

Mixed views on the 'big game brigade'. Tamworth brought thousands to Goodison, who will never ever go and watch them again. For example.

I agree with that, the bigger the club the more bandwagoners you get, doesn't bother me.
However a drop from 38k or whatever for a league game to 20k for the arsenal game does.

The fact is that some people simply can't go every week. I'm sure all Sunderland fans would love to be able to. I had a season ticket for the previous two seasons which was paid for by my parents. As a student, and no work at the minute, it's hard to get money to pay for one. Believe me, I'd love to go to every game.

Can we assume a lot of these woodlice are often fans that have given the club thousands of pounds over the years?

if you can't afford it, fair enough. there's only so much you can fork out for, there's other bills to pay, but there are people that can afford a sc, but won't get one, as other excuses pop up

    Why is an excuse needed?

Do they make the same excuse to the missus and kids if they buy a ST instead of a family holiday?
