I completely agree.

the system we are now adopting whilst not particulary encouraging free flowing football, invites oppo players on, thus developing space for attacking chances. its working so why twist. we probably have not 'won' the possession stats since o'neill has been in charge but we have 'won' points.

As for when we had the ball, I thought we were more wasteful than we have been since MON arrived. Wickham had a poor game - which I think is understandable, he's still young, and probably not fully fit yet - and a fair few others went awry with their passing.
That said, we finished the stronger as they'd totally ran out of ideas with about 15 to go.
Clinical finishing, ability to weather a bit of a storm, and barely a shot for Mignolet to save - anyone who says that was a shite/poor performance is an idiot.

bang on the money.
Heard a few people on way out of the ground talking of it being a weird game, we didnt really deserve to win etc....
What makes you deserve to win a game? Passing the ball a lot but not troubling the keeper is not showing class, and its not meaning you are deserving of winning the game.
Mags at home. Bruce claimed that we totally battered them first half. Reality was we had loads of the ball, but little cutting edge with the only save of note for Krul a shot from just outside area by Sessegnon. Whereas the Scum have two clear chances from corners, and Larrson cleared one off the line with his arm. Strange, but I'd much rather we were a team with a clear strategy and cutting edge than one that meanders around the pitch with no penetration.

I'd settle for being as average as them, even away from home, plus Sess and AN Other up front.

Thats a bit harsh.
Ok they lack a cutting edge but they looked a better side than us for long periods today.

By the end of this thread some people will have Swansea as 'Barcelona' while we're 'the plucky little outfit from the Faroe Islands'

Re: As far as underserved victories goes
For me its all about points at the minute, but MON will know we are getting away with it, some good organisation and some great goals, but it can't last.
MON is doing the best he can with what he has, but he needs to add a few players so we can control games for longer periods.
Don't think Cattermole had a particularly good game today, McClean was a little in and out which is understandable given his age and level of experience and Wickham isn't ready yet. We might get 1 or 2 in, we might not buts its a case of 10 more points or so and look to jiggle things in the summer.
