    Default Knee injury

Playing football yesterday and I've went in for a tackle and aggrivated an old injury to my left knee.

Know if I keep it straight then go to bend it, this leaves me in agony. As does trying to straighten my leg after it's been bent for a few seconds. Literally couldn't sleep through the pain last night, and have been taking painkillers like tic tacs all day.

I've also had anti-arthritis cream on which is meant to relax muscles and joints.

If you were in my position would you go get it checked out at the walk in centre, or just stay on the painkillers?

Any help appreciated, any suggestions that I'm getting my leg amputated, please don't.
